Construction and testing of sMDT tubes at the University of Michigan for the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer upgrade

This paper reports on the design and construction of infrastructure test stations for small-diameter monitored drift tube (sMDT) assembly testing at University Michigan (UM) to prepare ATLAS Muon Spectrometer upgrade high-luminosity program Large Hadron Collider. Procedures quality assurance control (QA/QC) tests are described in detail. More than 99% tubes meet QA/QC specifications based 2100 built UM. The UM also used constructed State University. These being construct sMDT chambers which will replace current MDT barrel inner station Spectrometer.
